AFCON2017: Coach McKinstry and the Rwanda Amavubi have completed training ahead of their AFCON2017 qualifier against Ghana Black Stars.
The game is being played in Kigali, Rwanda. (5 September 2015, 15:30 local, 14:30BST, 13:30GMT) .
Following Rwanda's 1-0 victory over Mozambique in June, both Rwanda and Ghana go into the encounter tomorrow at the top of Group H on three points. Ghana started their qualification campaign with a 7-1 victory over Mauritius.
Despite Rwanda's ongoing progress - and being named 'biggest upward mover' (up to 78th worldwide, and 20th in Africa) in the September FIFA rankings released earlier today, Ghana remain at 27th worldwide (and 3rd in Africa).
Speaking at the conclusion of the training camp Coach McKinstry noted that the qualifier not only presented a great challenge for the Amavubi, but also a great opportunity.
“We will be going up against one of Football's top sides, so our players will all have to be at their best if we are to get a result”
“It’s really a big occasion. The team have been working hard in training and are well prepared for the game”
Match pictures will be available shortly after the game.
